Wool

Sheep's wool

For over 2,000 years, wool has protected us from the cold thanks to its warmth and durability. In this collection, discover garments made with wool from the most widespread breeds in Chile: Corriedale, Merino, Romney Marsh, Suffolk Down, Texel and the local Chilota. These sheep, raised in the vast pampas of Patagonia, provide a fiber that is sheared, washed, hand-spun and then woven on ancestral looms by our artisans.

Alpaca wool

The Chilean Andes offer us an equally exceptional fiber: alpaca wool. Coming from Andean camelids, such as the Alpaca (Vicugna pacos) and the Llama (Lama glama), this wool is carefully woven using indigenous techniques to create garments imbued with Andean cultural heritage.

Care instructions

Sheep and alpaca wool clothing:

  • Washing: Always by hand with cold or lukewarm water and a mild detergent. In the machine, choose the delicate program.
  • Drying: Lay flat on a towel to absorb moisture. Avoid hanging or wringing clothes.
  • Ironing: If necessary, steam iron with a towel to protect the wool from the iron.

Wool figurines, objects and toys:

  • Washing: Hand wash with cold or lukewarm water and delicate detergent. Reorganize the shape of the item after wringing with a towel, then let it dry naturally.

Felt :

  • Care: Do not wash the felt to avoid deformation. Refresh it by gently steaming it, taking care not to alter its shape.

Sheepskins:

  • Care: Brush and shake regularly to maintain softness. Spot clean with a damp towel and mild soap, then air dry. Avoid direct light and washing or drying machines.
