Carved wooden objects
Discover unique objects handcrafted from native Chilean woods, categorized into two distinct ranges:
- Warm range: Carved from species such as Raulí ( Nothofagus alpina ), Oak, Pellín or Huaye ( Nothofagus obliqua ), Lingue ( Persea lingue ) and Chestnut ( Castanea sativa ), this collection is distinguished by its deep red, pink and brown tones, often embellished with marked veins and a rich texture.
- Light range: Made from Laurel ( Laurelia sempervirens ) and Poplar ( Populus nigra ), it is characterized by its light shades, ranging from yellow to light brown with greenish reflections, a more homogeneous texture and a subtle shine.
Care instructions
For woods for culinary use:
- Cleaning: Wash your wooden utensils with warm water and a mild detergent after each use.
- Hydration: If the wood appears dry, apply a thin layer of cooking oil using a cotton pad to maintain its flexibility.
- Tip: Regular use with food helps preserve the natural moisture of the wood.
For decorative and useful objects:
- Basic maintenance: Simply remove dust with a soft cloth. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or excessive humidity.
-
Restoration: If the wood loses its shine or natural texture, you can use suitable products:
- Spray sealants: Matte or glossy finish.
- Natural oils: Linseed oil or colorless wax.
- Specific varnishes and cleaners: Always test on a small surface before a complete application.
- Important note: Wood is a living and sensitive material, so adapt care carefully to prolong its natural beauty.
